The Man, The Myth
Late Alhaz Mohammed Sabder Ali was a visionary entrepreneur and the esteemed founder of Hotel Agrabad, one of Bangladesh’s pioneering luxury hotels. In the late 1960s, he recognized Chattogram’s growing importance as the country’s principal port and commercial hub, and foresaw the need for an international-standard hotel to accommodate the increasing number of foreign business travelers. Driven by his foresight and commitment to excellence, he established Hotel Agrabad, creating a landmark that would redefine hospitality in the region and become a symbol of quality, professionalism, and warm Bangladeshi service.
